User Camp's privacy policy

At User Camp, we minimize data collection from our apps and website, and we make every reasonable effort to keep private the data that we do collect. On this page, we outline what information we do collect, why we collect it, and who processes the information. By using our website or our apps, you accept this privacy policy.

Our apps for iOS and macOS

User Camp's iOS and macOS apps do not contain any third-party advertising SDKs.

Apple collects telemetry from these apps, and provides it to us in an aggregated, anonymized fashion. For example, we can see how many users from a given country downloaded our apps, how many users installed our apps from a given marketing campaign, etc.

Apple does not provide any information about individual users to us.

To facilitate in-app purchases and subscriptions, User Camp uses a service named RevenueCat. RevenueCat provides User Camp with data on when you first used the app, when you last used the app, and how much money you spent on in-app purchases in the app. No other information (like your IP address, email, etc.) is collected or transmitted. User Camp does not send custom app user IDs or attribution information to RevenueCat.

For more detail, please see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

In our iOS and macOS apps, we use Amplitude, a third-party analytics provider, to track usage. We send data to Amplitude in order to track certain actions within our apps, like when the app is run for the first time or when an in-app offer is purchased. This information is correlated with the device's IP address, make, and model. It is not used for cross-app tracking, fingerprinting, or audience building. The data is never disclosed to other parties, except when required by law.

For more detail, please see Amplitude's privacy notice.

Our apps for Windows

Our Windows apps (Penbook, PDF Ink, Spirality, PDF Manager, and Mind Maps Pro) do not include any third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Microsoft collects telemetry from these apps, and provides it to us in an aggregated, anonymized fashion. For example, Microsoft reports to us how many user sessions occurred on a certain day, how many users installed our apps from a given country, how many users installed our apps from a given marketing campaign, etc.

Microsoft does not provide any information about individual users to us.

Email address collection

We maintain mailing lists for distributing news about our apps, using Mailchimp and Substack. We will never add your email address to these lists without your clear consent. Once you consent (by entering your email address in a clearly-marked form, and then opting in to a confirmation email), you may withdraw your consent at any time. You can do so by clicking the 'Unsubscribe', or by contacting us directly for manual removal.

Some parts of our website allow you to submit an inquiry to us that requires your contact information. We will only use your contact information for the purposes of replying to you.

Similarly, when you contact us by email (for technical support, etc.), we will only use your contact information for the purposes of replying to you.

Our website

Our website, https://user.camp, does not include any analytics or tracking products.
